The Roland MDX-540A and MDX-540SA milling system does not include collets.
The MDX-540 ATC unit has 4 tool positions so we put together a kit of the 4 collets that you need for a new machine. This kit gives you collets for tool sizes that match the toolkits.
This kit is for the MDX-540A and MDX-540SA Model that has the Automatic Tool Changer installed. You will need the
MDX-540 Collet Kit for the standard MDX-540 and MDX-540S machines without tool changer.
This collet kit includes 4 collets.
Flexible 1/8" collet for use on the MDX-540 with Automatic Tool Changer.
Holds 1/8" shank sized tooling securely in the Automatic Tool Changer Drill Mill Chuck
Also use this collet for any tool sizes smaller the 1/8", these smaller tools will still have a 1/8" shank.
Flexible 1/4" collet for use on the MDX-540 with Automatic Tool Changer.
Holds 1/4" shank sized tooling securely in the Automatic Tool Changer Drill Mill Chuck
You will need a 1/4" collet if you purchased the ZCL-540 Rotary Axis Unit.
The calibration pin you use to setup the ZCL-540 requires the 1/4" collet.
If you are purchasing a new MDX-540A or MDX-540SA we include collets in our complete packages.
