The Universal Laser Cartridge is the source of the laser power for the laser system. Universal Laser manufacturers laser cartridges ranging from 10 watts up to 500 watts in output power at both 10.6µm and 9.3µm wavelengths.

Laser Exchange
When it's time to replace the laser cartridge you do not have to buy a new laser cartridge. Universal Laser will exchange your laser cartridge for a new cartridge. Using the Rapid Reconfiguration technology the end user can change out the laser source without any tools or special training. This saves time and money for service calls and costs of a new laser.
Air-Cooled Laser Source
Universal’s laser sources are air-cooled and no complicated liquid cooling systems are required like a glass tube laser.

Laser Fan Control (to reduce noise)
Universal’s lasers are all air cooled by computer-controlled fans. Fan speed is reduced or increased as a function of laser temperature, reducing noise levels when the lasers are being used on lower power settings.

Laser sources are pre-aligned at the factory and do not need to be internally realigned.
Smart Laser Source Technology
Because we manufacture our own lasers, Universal’s lasers can communicate their model number to the laser system CPU, allowing the laser system to automatically choose the right settings for a particular material based on available laser power.
